| Whispers is a mixed media painting composed of acrylics and oils, along with material to add texture to the painting. When one looks at this painting, the lips might seem to be the primary focal point because they are so dominant. However, it is the ears within the composition that reveal the true meaning of this impressionistic work. The painting is not about speaking, but rather about listening and more importantly, about hearing. It is a painting about silence. As with most of Denton's work, Whispers abounds with elegant designs, patterns, and colors. |
